BACKGROUND: Although his fits of grouchiness and habit of launching into excruciatingly targeted (and accurate) lectures can be intimidating, Miyao is considered a role model as both an excellent student and genius captain of Promise High's judo club. Miyao does his best to rise and meet the academic and athletic pressure that presses in on him from every corner, but with tensions between schools and dojos alike rising, he founded the "It's a Wrap" chat server to forge lasting friendships between athletes in rival schools and keep the bitter grudges of adults from poisoning the atmosphere of the competition. In contrast, Miyao's sister Meow was a hermit until very recently, staying cooped up to play video games and watch anime—sharing her brother's body with him gave her few options for socializing, especially with her timid personality. But after awakening as Dreamer Caitsith, Meow is making tentative efforts to go outside, develop her confidence, and maybe make a few friends of her own.
